I gave My Daughter N1.5M for her birthday–Ogu replies in-laws

Super Eagles Midfielder, John Ogu has reacted to speculations that he abadoned his daughter in Nigeria by saying he sent her 1.5 million naira for her birthday.

Sportinglife.ng earlier reported that the Isreali based footballer was accused on twitter by a lady claiming to be the sister of his estranged wife for not seeing his daughter even when he was in the country two weeks ago.

But Ogu reacting through his Instagram  page posted: “she be like, ahh, Daddy noo distractions please. Just focus and make me proud in Russia. I received the 1.5 million Naira you sent for my birthday party in school. I will be celebrating my birthday with friends tomorrow in school!!

John Ogu reportedly ended his two-year-old marriage with his wife, Vera earlier in the year.

The duo unfollowed themselves on Instagram and also deleted pictures of each other.

Vera also removed ‘wife’ from her profile and reverted to her maiden name, Akaolisa.
