The General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation Dr. Sanusi Mohammed has stated in clear terms that only the NFF board recognized by the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) and the Federation of International Football (FIFA) can remove him from office and has urged the general public to disregard the purported sack by unknown board.
Speaking to Sportinglife.ng Sanusi said ” you can’t terminate an appointment you did not give. I was appointed by the recognized board of Amaju Pinnick and only them have the right to tell me to go. The day the board said my service is no longer required, I will not wait for a second to leave. The NFF is not my private company but a public office which can be occupied by anybody”.
Speaking futher our focus is to bring peace to the football house and not distractions.
” I was duly appointed with an appointment letter making me the Secretary General of the federation and my appointment was communicated to the continental and world body but not for anyone to wake up to tell me I have been relieved of my appointment.” Said Sanusi
The Secretary General also congratulated the Falconets for making it to the next round of the Fifa u-20 world cup holding in France after 1 – 1 draw with China.
