Spanish newspaper, Marca reported that Ibrahimovic is interested in the possibility of a return to Italian football – this time with Napoli. Zlatan is currently in the United States attempting to guide LA Galaxy towards the MLS Cup Final, but beyond that, his future is still doubtful.

The expectation is that he’ll return to European football at some stage before he hangs up his boots once and for all, and this could be the perfect opportunity for him to do just that.

Napoli is a club steeped in history both in Italian football and in the wider European spectrum, and Zlatan is all about making history. Whether or not this comes to fruition, though, is a different matter altogether as Ibrahimovic continues his historic run in the game.

Inter presently have no interest in signing Ibrahimovic in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report in Turin news outlet Tuttosport.

Due to this, speculation has been rife as to where the Swede could end up once he becomes a free agent as of January 1, 2020. Inter have drawn heavy links in the media whilst Manchester United have also drawn links to him.
