This afternoon, La Repubblica reported there was no agreement and none of the players or staff decided to accept the cut.
It seems as if the lesser option, delaying two months of their wages so they show up on the 2022-23 balance sheet, is not going to be accepted either.
Owners Suning have asked for help from their players, directors and coaching staff to keep the club afloat during the pandemic, when revenues have been hit hard.
If this appeal does not work, then it’s likely those players who earn the highest wages will be first on the transfer list.
