Italian goalkeeper suspended for having sex in nightclub toilet

Matteo Voltolini has been suspended by his club after being filmed apparently having sex in a nightclub toilet.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper plays for Serie C side Reggio Audace visited the night club after the club’s 2-1 win which he watched from the bench last Sunday.

Voltolini visited a local nightspot, where he apparently got on with a young woman.

They are thought to have gone in a toilet cubicle but a fellow clubber secretly filmed them, according to Corriere Dello Sport.

The 15-second clip then went viral before being posted on social media including WhatsApp.

Reggio Audace said in a statement: “We announce the preventive suspension from sporting activities of our player Matteo Voltolini for one week.

“This is while we wait to learn in full about the post-match events on Sunday November 17.”

Voltolini is understood to be considering legal action, claiming a breach of privacy.

He has made three appearances for the club, who are based in his home town Reggio Emilia.

He is contracted at the club until 2021 and is valued at around £90,000.
