Iwobi, Bassey back in Fulham training may face A/ Villa Saturday

Super Eagles duo Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi, have returned to their  Premier League team, Fulham after Nigeria’s African Cup of Nations campaign.

The two Eagles who were in action in all the seven AFCON clashes involving the Eagles in Cote d Ivoire, were pictured in training on Thursday and the Whites announced their arrival with a short message: “Our Super Eagles are back.”

The last time the two players appeared for Fulham was on December 31 against Arsenal.

The Super Eagles team that placed second in the 2023 AFCON finals had standout players in Iwobi and Bassey.

There are strong indications that the duo will be in action on  Saturday when Fulham take on Aston Villa will clash in the Premier League.

In what could pass for different strokes for different fellows, while some fans aimed cyber bully at Iwobi over his perfomance at the just concluded 34th AFCON, others showed appreciation telling the duo as the resumed training with their club “thanks for your showing at the AFCON we appreciate your efforts”
