Anthony Joshua has been backed to stay in boxing until the age of 40 if he becomes a three-time world champion.
Joshua is next in line for a shot at the undisputed world titles after his one-sided KO win against former UFC champion Francis Ngannou. ‘AJ’ has turned over a new leaf in his career since losing twice to Oleksandr Usyk and he could face the Ukrainian for the third time or finally meet in the ring with Tyson Fury, depending on the result of their undisputed clash next month.
Some fans think ‘AJ’ is back to his old destructive style since partnering with Fury’s old trainer Ben Davison and one of Joshua’s sparring partners has admitted he is now full of confidence. “I don’t think AJ was scared before. The difference is he’s very confident,” Jeamie TKV told Boxing News.

“He believes in what Ben and Lee Wylie are teaching him. That’s what gives him the confidence to do what he’s doing. I just feel like AJ’s going to be a three-time world champion and the way he’s moving he’s added three maybe five years to his career.” Jeamie is no stranger to sparring Joshua as he helped the Brit train for several of his wins last year.
“It was great. Do you know what, I enjoyed camp with him. It was fun. We had a good time in sparring. Some of my best fun spars. I just really enjoyed the spar, he enjoyed it too. I came in the last two weeks of camp, and did a lot of sparring with him. AJ was sharp and strong. It was fun,” he added.
Fury and Usyk have a two-fight deal regardless of who wins their fight on May 18 in Saudi Arabia, meaning ‘AJ’ is unlikely to fight for the undisputed belts until next year. Fury’s promoter Frank Warren named March as the most likely month for the domestic dust-up if Fury is able to get past Usyk.
“Next March, if Tyson does what I believe he’ll do and AJ continues to win, I’m sure that’ll set up a big fight. “It’s like going back to the late 60s, 70s, that’s what’s happening now. These guys are all fighting each other,” Warren told Sky Sports whilst also admitting the fight will likely take place in Saudi Arabia instead of the UK.
