Joshua vs Fury bout is the ultimate says Woodall
Anthony Joshua former trainer Richie Woodall says the ultimate will be to see the Nigeria-British pugillist take on Tyson Fury in much talked about bout.
Former super middleweight contender Richie Woodall worked with Joshua as part of the Team GB setup back when he was fighting in the Olympics and has now been asked by Boxing Social about a fight between him and Fury.
“Last couple of performances he’s boxing really well, it’s working with Ben Davison. The way he knocked out Ngannou was very impressive indeed. I think the fight everyone still really wants to see deep down is Tyson Fury versus AJ.

“But Fury has a very difficult fight against Usyk, but Tyson looks in really good shape so it’s a close one to call. I’m actually going for Fury, I think he will be too big for Usyk, but I can’t wait for it.
“But I think the one we want to see is AJ, I think he’s improving with Ben Davison, fair play top him so why not, it’s an exciting division. “
He was then asked it the fight with Joshua and Fury is 50-50.
“We’ll have to judge it on [Fury’s] next fight with Usyk, it’s going to be a difficult fight and he’s going to have to be at his best so Tyson versus AJ is 50-50 at this stage but if he beats Usyk he starts the favourite.”
Both Usyk and Fury have been exchanging taunts online ahead of that historic bout and Carl Froch thinks it is Usyk who will come out on top.

Joshua is resurgent right now and his profile is as high as ever after a fantastic last 11 months. He has beaten Jermain Franklin and Robert Helenius on points, then knocked out Otto Wallin and Francis Ngannou in spectacular fashion at the start of March.
That has put him in prime position to fight the winner of the upcoming undisputed fight on May 18 between Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.
