JUST IN: Eagles beat Mambas 3-2, earn first friendly victory in 5years

Super Eagles beat Mambas of Mozambique 3-2 this afternoon in Portugal in the second of their double header international friendly.

The Eagles, who settled for a 2-2 draw against Saudi Arabia on Friday, faced the Mambas with a resolve to pull victory.

It was however not a tea party for the Jose Peseiro tutored side as the Mambas shot into the lead just six minutes into the match thus forcing the Kenneth Omeruo captained side to come from behind for an equaliser 19 minutes later thanks to T Moffi.

Frank Onyeka and Moses Simon registered goals respectively for a 3-2 win over Mambas.  The victory marked the fourth victory against Mozambique in five games with the eagles winning four and pulling a draw in one. Today’s match was without victor Osimhen and Kelechi Iheanacho who had left shortly after the friendly against Saudi Arabia.
