Juve’s Paulo Dybala confirms positive coronavirus test

 

Juventus superstar Paulo Dybala has become the latest footballer to test positive for coronavirus.

Dybala is the third Bianconeri star to test positive, after defender Daniele Rugani and World Cup winner Blaise Matuidi.   His girlfriend, Oriana, has also tested positive for COVID-19.

They are currently in isolation together at the player’s home in Turin.

Taking to social media, the Argentine confirmed: “Hello everyone, I wanted to inform you that we have just received the results of the Covid-19 test and both Oriana and I tested positive.

“Luckily we are in perfect condition. Thank you for your messages and a greeting to all.”

Dybala has already been in self isolation for 10 days, having voluntarily entered on March 11, a statement from the Italian champions has confirmed.

“Paulo Dybala has undergone medical tests that revealed a positive result for Coronavirus-COVID19.

“He has been in voluntary home isolation since Wednesday 11 March.

“He will continue to be monitored, following the usual regime. He is well and is asymptomatic.”

Another player to confirm a positive test on Saturday was Spain-based China international Wu Lei.

The 28-year-old, who plays for Espanyol, is also now self-isolating.
