Kuwait Sporting Club unveil former Super Eagles captain Mikel

Former Super Eagles captain and Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has been unveiled by his new club Kuwait Sporting Club.

Mikel who was handed his favorite number 12 jersey shared the video of the unveiling ceremony on his social media handle on Monday evening.

The 34-year-old joined the club on a one-year deal from English Championship side Stoke City last month.

The 2013 African Cup winner told the media, he’s happy to start a new adventure with the club.

“I’m delighted to be here with the Club and can’t wait to get started” he said in a short video.

Mikel is expected to help his club challenge for Kuwait Premier League title this season.

Kuwait Sporting Club finished second behind Al-Arabi SC last season.
