LaLiga: Barcelona concerned as Man Utd prepare offer for Araujo

Manchester United are preparing a bid for Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo.

The 23-year-old has become a key player for Xavi Hernandez since he took over as manager in November last year.

But with Araujo’s contract expiring in 2023, United are hoping to take advantage of the situation.

Catalan outlet El Nacional says the Red Devils are preparing a summer offer of £33.6m.

Juventus have also been linked with Araujo, who has won seven caps for Uruguay.

Barca would be loathe to lose their former B team player and have pushed hard for him to sign a contract extension.
