Laporta dreams Messi, Ronaldo in one team plans Ronaldo approach
Barcelona are considering a sensational approach for Juventus attacker Cristiano Ronaldo.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner spent nine years with La Blaugrana’s arch-rivals Real Madrid before transferring to Juventus in 2018, but his Old Lady future is shrouded in uncertainty.
Ronaldo failed to inspire Juve to Serie A or Champions League glory last term, and with his deal expiring in 12 months’ time, he continues to be linked with a move elsewhere in the summer window.
According to Diario AS, Barca president Joan Laporta is eager to see Ronaldo and Lionel Messi play on the same team, and he is in the process of formulating a proposal to land the veteran Portuguese attacker.

The report adds that Barcelona are willing to include two of Sergi Roberto, Philippe Coutinho and Antoine Griezmann as part of an audacious swoop, but the Blaugrana are yet to approach his agent Jorge Mendes with an offer.
Messi’s contract situation at Barca is yet to be resolved either, but Laporta is increasingly confident that the Argentine will commit his future to the Catalan giants.
Ronaldo has already scored three goals for Portugal at this year’s Euro 2020 tournament, as the reigning champions prepare to take on 2016 runners-up France on Wednesday evening in what promises to be battle royal.
