Latest arrival Messi, Sergio Ramos bent on 100% fitness for PSG

 

There is time for everything under the sun.  In there is also time to agree and disagree. PSG new imports Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos were once rivals.

Two Captains of two great clubs.  While Argentine great Lionel Messi was doing his job on the pitch for Barcelona, Sergio Ramos was doing the same for Real Madrid, two great Spanish clubs known for their rivalry and their breath taking performances at the El Classico.

Both have won avalanche of laurels both for the clubs and for themselves.  But this season they have found themselves settling down for the same club PSG. Now the train and talk about winning laurels not for their different clubs but for the same club.

Time, space and change re-define the future. Take a look at them in the gym burning the calories for the same course with all the rivalry of the past gone and replaced with team work for the same course.

Paris Saint-Germain and Strasbourg face off at Parc des Princes on Saturday after season-opening matches in which the home team extended their unbeaten streak in Ligue 1 openers to 10 while the visitors saw their winless streak stretch to three.

PSG won their season-opening Ligue 1 match 2-1 at Stade de l’Aube against Troyes. Strasbourg slumped 2-0 against Angers SCO at Stade de la Meinau in their first league match of 2021/2022.

When the two sides last met in Ligue 1 action, PSG came out on top 4-1 at Stade de la Meinau last season. Kylian Mbappé opened the scoring for PSG in the 16th minute. Pablo Sarabia, Moise Kean, and Leandro Paredes also were on the scoresheet. Dion Moisés Sahi scored for le Racing in the 63rd minute.

PSG have got the better of Strasbourg of late, unbeaten in their last six Ligue 1 matches (W4 D2 L0). Strasbourg are looking for their first league win in games between the two sides since December 2017. PSG have outscored le Racing 17-6 during their unbeaten streak.

Achraf Hakimi and Mauro Icardi share the early scoring lead for PSG after each netting in the opener against Troyes.

Hosts PSG had 13 wins, one draw, and five losses in 19 Ligue 1 contests at home last season. Strasbourg, meanwhile, had seven wins, four draws, and eight losses in their 19 Ligue 1 contests away from Stade de la Meinau.
