Hendrie: I don’t know what style Arsenal are trying to play

Former Aston Villa midfielder, Lee Hendrie, has said that bad luck was a factor in Arsenal’s dismal defeat to Burnley.

Granit Xhaka saw red for the Gunners in the reverse.

But Hendrie said on BBC Sport: “I feel Arsenal did play well up to the time of the sending off, it did turn the game around and went into the favour of Burnley. The set plays they did – time and time again giving cheap free-kicks away inviting the pressure onto the goal so it was evident what would happen and it did.

“You feel for Arsenal, everything seems to be going against them the chances they had in front of goal it could’ve been two or three-nil at times but it just shows how this Burnley side come out and frustrate sides and then all of a sudden they capitalised on whatever they were given.”

Hendrie also said, “You can hear the jeers and boos from the 2000 fans that are here at the Emirates, they’re obviously not happy. I just don’t know what style Arsenal are playing or what way they are going forward at the moment.”
