The Foxes are now runaway leaders Liverpool’s nearest title challenger.

Rodgers, 46, recently signed a new five-and-a-half-year deal at Leicester, which could earn him more than £40million if he sees it out.

In less than a year, he has turned Leicester from a club drifting under Claude Puel to a side looking extremely likely to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

He said: “I never get carried away. People talk about ‘make or break’ around this time but it’s not really.
