And now it seems there is interest from Italy.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the 23-year-old is a target for AS Roma as “a name under observation”.

It is claimed they already tried to sign him during the January transfer window, to no avail.

But the report suggests the Foxes are in the driving seat for his signature, highlighting the links with the Gunners and Villa, “but above all Leicester”.

The Daily Mail have claimed the forward wants to be reunited with his former boss Brendan Rodgers, who signed him from PSG during his reign at Parkhead.

It has been reported Rodgers is close to a deal to bring the sought-after Frenchman to the King Power Stadium, for a fee believed to be around £15m.

And Celtic interim manager John Kennedy has not ruled out a summer departure for Edouard
