LG launches ‘Spot of Triumph’ gaming competition in Nigeria

LG Electronics has launched a new Fortnite gaming competition in Nigeria. The Gaming challenges tagged #SpotOfTriumph invites gaming enthusiasts of all abilities to participate in a series of battles for the chance to connect, meet famous gamers and win top prizes.

Since first hitting the scene in 2017, Fortnite has gone on to become a worldwide cultural phenomenon – garnering millions of concurrent players each day. With an aim to create new, immersive experiences for Fortnite fans, LG has created a series of 4 challenges under #SpotOfTriumph theme.

Battle royal for Gamers in Nigeria 

Kick started on 3rd November, LG will be releasing a weekly show which airs every Wednesday on LG’s social media channels. This show will give viewers deeper insight into the competition, how to compete in the latest challenge and what is in store for the winner. Each week, LG will also delve deeper into the key features of its product portfolio and will be joined virtually by Nigeria’s gaming star, @iamdoctorsid who will offer his commentary, tips and tricks for the new challenge.

New challenges will go live for a period of 72 hours every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Gamers have the opportunity to compete virtually within the specified days or in-person on Saturdays (13th & 20th November, 2021) at the LG Colors Showroom 34, Adeola Odeku Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, where well-known gamers will also be present for a meet and greet at the newly designed Fortnite Game Zones between 13:00 – 16:00 PM. The Prize giving ceremony comes up on the 27th November, 2021 at LG Colors Showroom in Victoria Island, Lagos where all winners will be awarded with their prizes.

Visitors are also welcome to utilize LG’s technology within these zones to participate throughout the entirety of the competition.

To take part, gamers simply need to visit https://www.lg.com/africa/spotoftriumph register and enter their Epic Games ID for Fortnite, granting access for LG to track the relevant challenges. Players can then play Fortnite as usual, with their performance being monitored automatically. Score will be tallied and added to LG’s leaderboard, with winners announced every Sunday. Each Winner goes with an LG SN4 Sound Bar and the Grand Winner will be presented with an LG 55-inch OLED TV.

The competition is running now until the end of November, with the final winner being announced shortly after, via LG’s microsite and social media channels viz Facebook – LG Nigeria, Instagram – @LGAfrica1 and YouTube – LG West Africa.
