Liverpool join Napoli watching ex-Newcastle defender Mbemba

Liverpool are watching former Newcastle United defender Chancel Mbemba at Porto.

TMW says the 26-year-old has caught the eye of the Reds after impressing in the Champions League this season.

Out of contract in 2022, his future in Portugal is said to uncertain with Napoli one side to have made an enquiry for his services.

And the report claims Liverpool have also asked after the former Newcastle United man.

Porto are willing to sell for €15m this summer to avoid the risk of losing him on a free.
