Liverpool so smash transfer record of £107m swoop for Havertz

Liverpool are reportedly set to smash their transfer record with a £107million swoop for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz.

The 20-year-old midfielder is earning rave reviews in the Bundesliga, and Manchester United are also thought to be interested.

But according to Mundo Deportivo, Jurgen Klopp’s Reds are in front of the queue – and are ready to splash big bucks to land him.

Havertz won a host of admirers last season, netting 17 goals and claiming three assists.

This season hasn’t gone quite as well, he has scored just twice in 14 and bagged one assist.
