Liverpool’s victory over Leicester City, perfect performance – Van Dijk

Liverpool defender, Virgil van Dijk, says victory at Leicester City was the perfect performance.

The Reds won 4-0 to go 13 points clear at the top of the table.

“It might be one of the best performances so far, because it was from start to finish,” Van Dijk said.

“I think they never had a shot on target? We dominated the game, we dominated possession, with chances. It was a complete performance.

“They had a gameplan, and I think they did the same at Anfield and it worked pretty well for them. They might have thought they’ll do the same, try to isolate me with Harvey Barnes and Joe (Gomez) with Jamie Vardy. But it didn’t work out too well for them. Obviously we had to exploit the spaces that they give us, and I think we did that very well.

“It was a complete performance. Now is an opportunity to recover and be ready for Wolves. It will be tough again and hopefully we will be at our best. But it’s all about winning games.”
