Man City confirm trophy parade details after winning Champions League

Manchester City have confirmed the details of their trophy parade to celebrate winning the treble.

Pep Guardiola’s side beat Inter Milan 1-0 in the Champions League Final in Istanbul on Saturday night.

They have become only the second team in English history to win the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup in a single season, after Manchester United in 1999.

City are due to fly back from Istanbul on Sunday and will hold a open-top bus parade in Manchester on Monday.

“Manchester City will celebrate its treble with an open-top bus parade through Manchester city centre on Monday 12 June,” the club said in a statement.

“Pep Guardiola and the squad will depart from Tonman Street, Deansgate, at approximately 18:30 (UK time) and travel to St Mary’s Gate. The parade will then travel through Cross Street and King Street, before finishing on the corner of Princess Street and Portland Street.

“A live stage show will then take place on Oxford Street, with onstage entertainment starting at 17:30 with the players expected to arrive at approximately 19:30..

“The parade will be hosted by Manchester City’s City Square presenters Danny Jackson and Natalie Pike, who will be joined by former players and special guests. There will also be live music from bands and DJs.

“New for this year – three DJ booths will be dotted throughout the parade route so our fans and the city can come together to celebrate the Club’s success in the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup this season.”
