Man City join Lautaro Martinez hunt

Barcelona are not the only club desperate to sign Inter striker Lautaro Martinez, as it’s reported Manchester City see him as the heir to Sergio Aguero.

The Blaugrana made absolutely no secret of their negotiations for the Argentina international over the last year, but Inter held firm with a release clause worth €111m.

According to Eurosport, Marca Claro and TyC Sports in Argentina, Manchester City are also preparing a possible bid for the 23-year-old hitman.

Lautaro could represent the ideal heir to Sergio ‘Kun’ Aguero, and might even end up being teammates with Lionel Messi after all.

Messi’s contract with Barcelona expires at the end of this season and he has not yet committed his future to Camp Nou, ready to reunite with Pep Guardiola in England.

Lautaro Martinez has an excellent record of 10 goals in 19 senior caps for Argentina, while he has 35 goals and 10 assists in 94 competitive games for Inter.
