Man Utd boss hopeful trio return for Chelsea clash

Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, may have a few more players available as they go to Chelsea at the weekend.

The Red Devils navigated the second leg in the Europa League against Real Sociedad, drawing 0-0 to go through to the last 16 4-0 on aggregate.

Solskjaer believes injured trio Scott McTominay, Edinson Cavani and Donny van de Beek could be ready for Chelsea on Sunday.

“Of course, that’s why he played there [to provide another option amid an injury crisis],” Solskjaer told reporters when asked why defender Axel Tuanzebe played in central midfield in the second half against Sociedad.

“It’s one of those positions now we suddenly have Scott, Donny, and Paul [Pogba] out. We’ve been really well off before and now we might have to look at options because I’m not sure if any will be available.

“Scott, Donny and Edinson we hope that they can be available for the weekend, but I’m not sure. Paul is still out for a few weeks, unfortunately.”
