Man Utd not ready to terminate Solskjaer’s contract

Manchester United continue to back Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their long-term manager.

The heat is on Solskjaer after two straight losses for United, as well as a stunning 6-1 defeat to Tottenham prior to the last international break.

United are currently 15th in the league, but Sky Sports says the club have no plans to replace Solskjaer.

They next play Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Solskjaer was asked about his future after Wednesday’s 2-1 loss to Istanbul Basaksehir.

“I decline to comment on such a thing,” the Norwegian said in his post-match press conference. “Of course, it’s early on and opinions are out there all the time.

“You’ve got to stay strong. I’m employed by the club to do a job and I do that to the best of my ability with my staff.”
