Manchester United unhappy with Neymar’s Phone Call to Pogba

Neymar has been sounding out Paul Pogba over a potential move to Paris Saint-Germain as the midfielder’s time at Manchester United goes from bad to worse.

Pogba has been nowhere near his best form at Old Trafford this season and has seen his relationship with Jose Mourinho move to breaking point.

According to reports, Neymar called Pogba in September to ask him if he was happy with life in Manchester and whether he would be interested in returning to his native city, Paris.

Neymar and Pogba have been close associates for several years and the Brazilian originally attempted to coax him to Barcelona before he left Juventus to rejoin Manchester United in 2016.

Now, he hopes to act as the deal-maker between his new club and Pogba. The Ligue 1 outfit are growing in their desperation to win the Champions League with president Nasser Al-Khelaifi investing over £350million to sign Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

Neymar, who cost the club a world-record £198m in 2017, is hoping to convince club officials that Pogba would take them to the next level in terms of ability, but a deal would be devilishly complex and incredibly expensive to pull off.

Pogba would cost close to Neymar’s own world record and it is widely believed he already has his heart set on a move to Barcelona, who he agreed terms with in the summer only to see United refuse to do business.

However, almost everybody associated with United won’t be pleased about the phone call and will likely do everything in their power to keep him at the club.

Whether Mourinho or Pogba will leave the club first has become a huge debate amongst United fans and it’s certainly a difficult question to answer.

Even if the results continue to disappoint, though, a few more calls from Neymar could see Pogba jump ship regardless.
