Mario Balotelli on the radar of Vasco Da Gama, Galatasaray

 

Mario Balotelli could leave Brescia this summer as his agent Mino Raiola has reportedly started negotiations with Turkish giants Galatasaray and Brazilian outfit Vasco da Gama.

The forward notched five goals in 19 appearances for the Serie A side prior to the suspension of football due to the coronavirus.

But Balotelli could be on his way out of the club following the conclusion of the 2019-20 season with both Vasco da Gama and Galatasaray interested, according to Football Italia.

The 29-year-old joined hometown club Brescia last summer on a free transfer but the side have struggled this campaign.

They sit at the bottom of the table on 16 points after 26 matches played, nine points from safety.

Balotelli, who has played for eight different clubs including the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League, was linked with a move to Galatasaray back in January.

Following his move to Brescia last year Balotelli revealed his mother cried when he told her he was joining his hometown club.

Last week Balotelli opened up on his struggles during lockdown in Italy and joked that he was ‘eating cardboard for the first three days.’

had to deal with unexpected racial abuse forcing him to threaten a walkout during Brescia tie against Hellas Verona.

Referee Maurizio Mariani paused the game and began the anti-racism protocol after Brescia’s Balotelli picked up the ball early in the second half and kicked it into the crowd.

Balotelli’s teammates and match officials convinced the former Manchester City and Liverpool striker to remain on the field, and an announcement followed, warning that further abuse would lead to the abandonment of the match.
