Messi doubtful for El Clasico
Lionel Messi could miss next Sunday’s El Classico against Real Madrid after he was forced off the field against Sevilla on Saturday.
He was on the pitch for just 26 minutes.
The Argentine landed awkwardly on his right arm after tussling for the ball with Sevilla’s Franco Vazquez, suffering what appeared to be quite a serious injury.
Ousmane Dembele was brought on to replace Messi, who had scored earlier on to give Barcelona a half-time 2-0 lead. Barcelona won 4-2.

The injury will also almost certainly rule Messi out of Barcelona’s Champions League game against Inter Milan on Wednesday, with both teams in the same group as Tottenham.
