Midfield maestro Okocha renews marriage vows after 25 years

Former Super Eagles Captain and midfield maestro Austin Jay-Jay Okocha has renewed his marriage vows with his wife of 25 years standing Nkechi Okocha. The couple apparently enjoying to the fullest the dividends of matrimony decided to further consolidate on the union that has given them full dose of bliss over the years.

Okocha married his heartthrob Nkechi in 1997, and they have been blessed with two children, Ajay and Daniella.

Both, 50 years of age, have never missed any opportunity to share their love for each other. During Okocha’s 50th birthday celebration, Nkechi shared her admiration for her husband.

“My husband is just one. He would want him (the son) playing football, but I don’t think there is anyone who can be my husband because he is just special,” Nkechi told Pulse earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Nkechi clocked 50 on the 21st of October. Coincidentally, it was also their marriage anniversary, and the couple marked it in a special way.

The former PSG star Okocha and his wife Nkechi renewed their marriage vows in a magnificent ceremony that took place in the Maldives.

Both of them looked brilliant at the ceremony, with Nkechi donning a white gown while the Super Eagles legend wore a white suit and black trousers.

Okocha is regarded as the best dribbler to play for the Super Eagles. He has a career that spanned 18 years.

His impressive runs while playing for the Super Eagles and other clubs he played for remain reference point whenever the round leather game is discussed. He is not only known for his dribbles but also free-kicks delivered to precision that makes opponents worry whenever he is handed the liberty to take a free-kick.One of those breath-taking deliveries was recorded in 2004 when he was still playing alongside Osaze Odemwingie. Okocha grabbed on that Occassion the 1,000th goal of the Nations Cup in a match in which Odemwingie also scored in the 4-0 demolition of South Africa.
