Mikel sees red as Trabzonzpor thrashes Rizespor 5-2

Former Super Eagles captain and Trabzonspor midfielder , John Mikel Obi was given the marching orders against Rizespor in Saturday’s Turkish Super Lig clash which they won 5-2.

Obi was sent off on the dot of 90th minute for his second caution of the match for stopping Ogulcan Caglayan’s goal-bound shot with his arm. It was his third red in his career.

Manuel Da Costa, Caleb Ekuban, Jose Sosa and Anthony Nwakaeme and Badou Ndiayescored for the home side after Rizespor’s Dario Melnjak had given the visitors a 1-0 lead in the 36th minute. Milan Skoda added the second for Rizespor from the penalty spot.
