Jose Mourinho is hoping to reunite with two of his former Manchester United players at Stadio Olimpico.
The Portuguese was appointed the next Roma boss ahead of the 2021/22 season on Tuesday, just over two weeks on from his sacking by Tottenham.
And he will look to sign Red Devils midfielder Nemanja Matic, 32, and goalkeeper David de Gea, 30, in his first summer transfer window with the club.

That’s according to Sportitalia , which notes Matic is a priority target, and Corriere della Sera , which claims Mourinho will look to strike a loan deal for De Gea.
Both players have two years remaining on their deals at Old Trafford, and Mourinho hopes he can land De Gea given the Spaniard has lost his No.1 status to Dean Henderson.
