My relationship with Roma boss Mourinho – Benni McCarthy

South Africa football icon, Benni McCarthy has described Roma manager as a good father and caring manager.

Mourinho and McCarthy had a good relationship as a player and coach when both plied their trade in FC Porto in Portugal.

Benni Mccarthy on Mourinho: “He was treating me like a son and I thought, ‘I cannot disappoint this guy, he has given me the lifeline that I want. I wanted to run through a brick wall for him.”

“I even thought, ‘This guy is going to leave Porto and I want to go with him’. I had a manager I would die for”, he stated on instagram.
