Napoli surely miss Mertens
Dries Mertens is out of the Napoli squad going to Cagliari and there are some concerning statistics, as they’ve won only two out of nine games without him.
Mertens, Victor Osimhen, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Kevin Malcuit have not made the trip to Sardinia, while Diego Demme is also in doubt after a reduced training session.
There is a reason for concern because the statistics show that Napoli’s success rate in Serie A plummets without their Belgian striker, who is currently nursing a sprained ankle.
Over the last two seasons, the Partenopei won only two out of nine Serie A matches without Mertens, a win rate of 22.2 percent.
