Transfer: Napoli weighing up move to replace Osimhen

Serie A champions Napoli are weighing up a move for Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi in case Victor Osimhen leaves this summer.

Osimhen has been heavily linked with a move away from Napoli since last summer. Manchester United, Chelsea, PSG, and Bayern Munich have shown interest in the Nigerian hitman.

However, nothing concrete has come out of those talks as Napoli are unwilling to let Osimhen leave unless they get a ridiculous offer. The Partenopeans may not accept anything less than €150million for a deal to happen.

A deal has not been confirmed, but Napoli are already shopping for viable replacements. According to Tuttomercato web, they have shortlisted Nice star Moffi and Lille man Jonathan David.

Moffi would be the cheaper option for the Serie A Champions, but they would be getting a quality player if they decide to make the move.

Moffi was the ninth-highest goalscorer in the Ligue 1 last season. He scored 18 league goals in the French top flight and added three in the Europa League. In fact, his over-head scissors kick against Basel in the Europa League was the best goal last season.

Nice acquired him from Lorient for €25million, and they may not demand up to €50million to let him go. However, David could cost up to €60million.
