Newcastle in talks with Barcelona attacker Dembele

Newcastle United are in talks with Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele.

According to The Sun, Newcastle have already held talks with Dembele’s representatives ahead of a lucrative move to St. James’ Park this summer.

The 24-year-old is set to become a free agent this summer with little progress made at the Nou Camp in relation to contract renewal.

Dembele signed for Barcelona for a reported fee of €100million in 2017 from Borussia Dortmund but will be free to enter a pre-contract agreement in January.

Xavi’s impending arrival could spell the end for Newcastle’s pursuit of the winger, however, given recent contract discussions, that doesn’t seem to be the case.
