The Nigeria FootballFederation Technical and Development Committee Chairman Ahmed Yusuf Fresh has applauded the outing of the Senior National Team (Super Eagles) for the two straight international victories recorded against Seychelles in the last leg of AFCON qualifier and the friendly match against the Pharaohs of Egypt.
Fresh while chatting with sportinglfe.ng, said the two matches played in Asaba has given Nigerian fans hope that the Super Eagles will clinch the AFCON Trophy in Egypt when the competition gets underway in June.
He said the commitment and the team spirit among the players are very high . He added that the level of confidence expressed by the Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr and the fatherly role he plays in the camp which has led to the team’s crisis free since he took over has made the board to approve all his programmes.
“I can tell you confidently that the super eagles are going to Egypt to lift the trophy. Both the players and technical crew are committed. Rohr is a father and the players respect his sense of judgement. He is also gradually building a new super eagles for the nation. Look Rohr wants to leave a legacy by winning AFCON Trophy before quitting the job or seeking for another greener pasture elsewhere”. Said Fresh
The Niger born Football Administrator revealed that the super eagles will be highly motivated before the competition in terms of logistics, allowances and winning bonuses.
