Nigeria to host Commonwealth Youth Summit
Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Sports and Youth Development Alhaji Ismaila Abubakar has said that Nigeria, Youth Division of the Commonwealth Secretariat and the Commonwealth Youth Programme will jointly hold the Commonwealth Youth and Students Summit for African Region.

Alhaji Abubakar who disclosed this today in Abuja stated that the theme of the summit is: ‘Co-creating our common future: Leadership in the Digital Age in Africa’.
The Permanent Secretary explained that the summit which comes up in Abuja between 9th to 12th May 2023, will serve as a platform that primarily targets the youth as the key actors in the Development Agenda of the African Continent and is expected to be declared open by President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria.
