I’m not quitting Man City–Guardiola

Pep Guardiola has dismissed any thought of leaving Manchester City owing to its 3-1 loss to Liverpool which has condemned the league champions to the fourth position on the premier league table.

City welcome third place Chelsea to the Etihad Stadium later today and Guardiola looks ready for the challenge.

“We don’t have a joker in our pocket,” he said. “I know, all around the world, people are saying the Premier League is done.”

“But if people think I am going to resign for these results, they don’t know me. I like this challenge. I love to be in this position. If the club wants me next season, I want to be here 100 percent.”

Guardiola is contracted until the end of the 2020-21 season with the back-to-back champions currently nine points behind leaders Liverpool
