No more waiting game, Newcastle boss Bruce warns Arsenal, Willock

Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce admits he’s prepared to end plans of re-signing Arsenal midfielder Joe Willock.

After Friday’s friendly win against Burton Albion, Bruce was again asked about transfers.

He stated that the club had not bid for anybody in terms of cash deals.

On Willock’s latest situation, he said: “We can’t wait forever.

“We’ve made it pretty obvious all summer that he’s our number one target, so we’ll keep working away at it and see if something can develop.

“But, there comes a cut-off period.”
