Noel Gallagher vows to copy Haaland in underpants pose

 

Noel Gallagher has pledged to recreate Erling Haaland’s iconic underwear photo on stage, should Manchester City win the Champions League on Saturday.

Pep Guardiola’s side are one game away from securing a historic treble, having already won the Premier League and FA Cup titles last month.

And, with just Inter Milan between them and a Champions League title, Gallagher has already started planning how he will celebrate.

The former Oasis singer has revealed on the Man City club’s website that he will be recreating Haaland’s iconic photo taken after their 4-1 win over Arsenal in April.

Gallagher revealed: “I won’t be in Istanbul  I always make sure the dates around the Champions League are free and usually it’s always towards the end of May.”

“What hasn’t been factored in is the World Cup and the ripple effect. I’m contractually obligated to play the gig no matter what and I’m okay with that – I watch the game at a bar in San Diego.

“If City win and Haaland scores a hat-trick, I will continue in my underpants.”

The 56-year-old stood alongside the Norwegian when the picture was taken in the City dressing room in April and also reflected on the hilarious moment.

“Erling asked for my picture, I was like ‘whoa, yeah but can you lean in a bit? “, revealed Gallagher.

“He’s a lovely boy and he has a nice big smile and he looks like a big happy kid. He is great.’

The legendary entertainer is hoping to see his team lift the Champions League trophy for the first time in their history, after suffering a heartbreak in 2021.
