NPFL: Agoye rejoices after victory over Kano Pillars in League opener

Sunshine Stars Head Coach, Edith Agoye has expressed his satisfaction over the performance of the players after a 1-0 win over Kano Pillars, on Saturday, in the league opener.

Oge Emmanuel scored the only goal of the game to secured the Akure Gunners the needed result, at the Ondo Sports Complex Stadium.

While speaking with the journalists shortly after the encounter, Agoye revealed that the players showed that they can measure up with any team in the league with Saturday’s victory.

“We are very happy that we scored a very good goal against Sai Masu Gida, we created a lot of scoring chances, and our opponents were unable to have any clear chance against us.”

Sunshine Stars will take on Lobi Stars in a Matchday 2 encounter, at the Lafia City Stadium next weekend.
