NPFL: Insurance versus Sunshine fixture gets new date

The matchday 13 clash involving hosts Bendel Insurance and Sunshine Stars in the Nigeria Premier Football League has been put-off.

The encounter earlier slated for Benin-City’s Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Saturday, will now hold at the same venue on Sunday.

The postponment of the tie by 24 hours was due to the horrible attack by hoodlums on Sunshine Stars team bus on Thursday on their way to Benin City for the match.

According to the Owena Waves media, one person was shot and other sustained various degrees of injuries.

Sunshine Stars defeated Shooting Stars 1-0 in Akure in mid-week while Bendel Insurance suffered defeat against Heartland in Owerri.
