NPFL: Ogunbote sings redemption song for Shooting Stars

Technical Adviser of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Gbenga Ogunbote, has said the team wil keep fighting to return to winning ways.

In his post match interview after the Matchday 12 encounter in Akure,The ‘Oracle’ said the team will pick up the pieces from the loss.

“The game has been played, won and lost, there is nothing we want to describe in it other than to take the positives from it and then move ahead.

“We will quickly pick our pieces. We thought we could pick at least a point here and use it to console ourselves for the two points we dropped at home, but unfortunately, we were unable to do that.

“We still have to keep fighting, we go home to return back to winning ways”, stated the 3SC boss

The former Rangers International and Lobi Stars tactician, regretted the injuries suffered early in the game by left back, Olawale Mutiu and forward, Emeka Obiora, which led to forced substitutions.

“Seriously, it really affected us because it left us with just one chance to make substitutions and as you can see, we had some of our players that we would have substituted, which we couldn’t do. It really affected us but it is one of those things”, concluded the highly respected gaffer.
