NPFL: Rangers assured of improved facilities

Players of the ‘Flying Antelopes’, Rangers International F.C have been assured of much-improved facilities at their residential camp, Nkponkiti Road, Independence Layout, Enugu, for them to give their maximum in every game to ensure that the club returns to the pinnacle of club football excellence.

This much was revealed by a staunch supporter of the club and a concerned citizen of Enugu state, Hon. Obiora Onyia, after undertaking a facility tour of the players’ abode in the company of the club’s G.M/CEO, Barrister Amobi Ezeaku with other members of the ‘Concerned Group’ and club officials on Sunday.

Hon. Onyia, who was part of the group led by the Senator representing Enugu West Senatorial zone, Distinguished Senator, Osita Ngwu, when the last rehabilitation of the camp was done some years back, said that the improvement sought for the players’ abode was to put them in the right frame of mind so as to deliver the goods expected of them under the new club management led by Barrister Ezeaku.

“We thank profusely the government of Dr. Peter Mbah for appointing a passionate football technocrat in the person of Barrister Amobi Ezeaku to head the management of our dear club, Rangers International F.C. As concerned citizens of the state with undying love for Rangers, we are here to take an on-the-spot assessment of the players’ camping facility just as we did the last time that saw the team climb to the zenith of domestic football through the instrumentality of Senator Osita Ngwu, who is aware of this trip,” said Onyia.

He further called on the state government to provide all that was needed for the new management of the club to deliver on the mandate given to it just as it challenged all well-to-do individuals and groups in the state and diaspora to throw their weight behind the club to become not only domestic but continental champions again.

In his remarks after the facility tour, Barrister Amobi Ezeaku, thanked Senator Osita Ngwu and other ‘Concerned citizens’ for electing to be of help to Rangers in the areas of the players’ residential quarters while appealing to others to come on board to help make the club a truly international brand.
