According to Amobi, such situation is not healthy for football, especially between the two teams and the fans who came out in their numbers to see the game.

He acknowledged that, Enyimba ought to have reached out to his team (Rangers).

“I think it’s unprofessional because we agreed on this match, but Enyimba did not show up, we’ve been here since morning trying to know what the problem is, but they continue to say they are on their way.”

“Look at the time, we can’t play anymore, we have to now go back to Enugu. No matter what the logistics problem is, they (Enyimba) would have been open minded and transparent, we are brothers and a family, the fans wanted this game.”

“Well it’s one of those things. We’ve seen their sporting director, Ifeanyi Ekwueme, we have spoken and he has expressed a sorry state of his mind about the situation, “Amobi added.

On the future of Rangers for the upcoming season, Amobi said, the team is promising and youthful.

He added that, with the Head coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu and his philosophy style of play, Rangers will play good football and uphold sporting excellence.

The CEO/GM who canvased for more support, thanked the Anambra State Government and it’s fans for having stood by the team.
