Ola Aina thanks Torino fans despite cold reception

Ola Aina is disappointed with the actions of some Torino fans who gave him and his teammates a cold reception in the Coppa Italia game against Cremonese on Sunday.

Ola Aina was playing his first game for Torino since returning from his loan spell at Fulham, but he was booed and whistle whenever he got the ball.

Despite the lack of support from the fans, Aina lasted for 120 minutes and helped secure a victory in the penalty shoot-out.

The Nigerian international who converted the decisive spot-kick for Torino was disappointed with the actions of the fans but refused to criticise them.

Aina stated that the cold reception and criticisms will only make him and the team get better as a player as the season progresses.

“To all the Torino fans that were booing or whistling whenever I got the ball, “THANK YOU” doubters and haters will only make me better, we move. As a club we should always stay together no matter what”, he posted on Twitter.
