Onyekuru’s Monaco out of relegation waters after 3-2 victory over Rennes
Nigeria international, Henry Onyekuru was visibly absent for Monaco in Sunday’s 3-2 victory against Rennes at the Stade Louis II in the French Ligue 1.
Onyekuru was not listed for the match as he is still down with a hamstring injury that has kept him on the sidelines for two weeks.
Onyekuru picked up the injury prior to the team’s league match against Montpellier which they lost 3-1.
However, the winger would be happy with yesterday’s result which has eased their relegation woes as they now 14th on the table after 10 matches.
Wissam Ben Yedder scored a 90th-minute winner for Monaco to cap a memorable evening.
That was after he had given his side an early lead in a rollercoaster, as the visitors hit back through Faitout Maouassa and Adrien Hunou.
