Osimhen’s away goal drought continues as Lille lose to Marseille

Nigeria forward, Victor Osimhen continued his search for his first away goal for Lille who were beaten 2-1 by Olympic Marseille at the  Stade Velodrome in the French Ligue 1 on Saturday.

The player who was cautioned in the 83rd minute saw action for 25 minutes after replacing Loic Remy in the 65th minute.

Ahead of the high profile match, Osimhen was initially doubtful after sustaining a slight injury last weekend but was later certified fit few days ago.

Morgan Sanson and Gabriel’s own goal powered Marseille to their fifth win of the season, while Lille’s Adama Soumaoro scored for the visitors.

Overall Osimhen had one shot at goal, nine touches, four passes with a passing accuracy of 75%.
