Palmer wants Ndidi to depart Leicester City
Carlton Palmer expects Wilfred Ndidi to depart Leicester City in the off season and claims that at least four Premier League clubs in the shape of Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing him on a free transfer.
The retired England international also revealed that the Nigeria international is on the radar of Barcelona who are in the market for reinforcements in midfield this summer.
Leicester City are facing financial scrutiny after they were charged last month for breaching the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability rules.
The Foxes could be forced to sell several players in the summer also trim their roster of those commanding high wages in order to balance their books.

Ndidi is one of the top earners at Leicester City with wages of around 75,000 pounds per week.
The Nath Boys product was in splendid form before picking up an injury that saw him miss the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, registering ten goal involvements (4 goals, 6 assists) in 24 all-competition appearances.
“Wilfred Ndidi, he is attracting a lot of interest, a lot of attention, from Premier League clubs,” Palmer said in an exclusive interview with Football League World
“Spurs, Aston Villa, Newcastle, Wolves to name four. Wilfred Ndidi is out of contract in the summer.”
He added: “He has been an integral part this season, although he has picked up some injuries, he has done really well for them.
“But with Ndidi’s huge wages of (an estimated) £75,000 a week, Leicester may choose to offload him in the summer and bring their wage bill down.”
Palmer concluded by saying, “It will be a bitter blow, but five clubs are keeping tabs on him, and there is reported interest from abroad as well with the likes of Barcelona.”
Ndidi has tonnes of Premier League experience, playing in 192 games in the English top-flight before Leicester City were relegated at the end of last season.
