Pesiero seeks consolidation as Eagles depart for Morocco

 

Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro is hoping to earn his second competitive victory as the team departs for Morocco tonight ahead of the tie against S&P (São Tomé & Principe). The Eagles came from behind to defeat Sierra leone 2-1 in Nations Cup qualifier at the MKO Abiola Stadium on Thursday, a feat which the former Saudi Arabia coach said was well deserved. Eagles reportedly had an impressive training earlier today in Abuja to the delight the coach he remains optimistic that the tie in Morocco will yield positive result.

Players and officials of the team we gather will depart for Morocco via the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport,Abuja, at 7.15pm. The tie on Monday is not likely to be very cheap of Eagles as São Tomé and Principe will be fighting to pick a point fresh from a 5-1 demolition by Guinea-Bissau.

Meanwhile Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong has been ruled out of clash against São Tomé and Principe following muscle injury he sustained during the 2-1 win over Leone Stars.
